As Bonfire Night approaches, your local policing team would like to share some important updates and safety reminders to help everyone enjoy the festivities responsibly.

Bonfire Night

Rochdale Borough Council is hosting three free, family-friendly bonfire and fireworks events:

Monday 3rd November – Bowlee Community Park, Middleton

Tuesday 4th November – Queen’s Park Road, Heywood

Thursday 6th November – Cronkeyshaw Common, Rochdale

Gates open at 6:00 PM
Bonfire lighting at 7:00 PM
Fireworks at 7:30 PM

Please note:

No alcohol, personal fireworks, or sparklers allowed.

Public transport is encouraged due to limited parking.

Events include funfairs and food stalls.

Report any anti-social behaviour or illegal bonfires via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers.

Other Local Highlights in November

Ignite Fire Festival & Christmas Lights Switch-On: 21–23 November at Rochdale Town Centre. Expect fire installations, music, and festive cheer.

Raising Rochdale Education Awards: 14 November at Rochdale Town Hall – celebrating local educators.

Town Hall Ghost Tour: 1 November – spooky stories and paranormal tales in one of Rochdale’s most historic buildings.
